Complete Your Enrollment Agreement

2025 Enrollment Agreement

General Terms and Conditions.  In consideration of the offer and acceptance of this Enrollment Agreement (“Agreement”) by the Ira George Chambers International School (hereafter referred to as (Chambers International School/CIS), I/We, the parent(s) or guardian(s) of the below named student(s) (“Student”), hereby agree to enroll the Student based on the terms and conditions stated herein.  This agreement is conditional upon the full payment of the monthly tuition due to CIS.  I/We:

  • Acknowledge the responsibility of the parent/guardian to read, understand, and adhere to the policies and rules of CIS;
  • Understand that the policies may be amended, supplemented, or rescinded periodically throughout the program year and that CIS will notify families of any updates or changes via CIS website and/or email notifications.  However, lack of awareness of these changes does not exempt the parent/guardian or student from compliance with the amended policies/provisions;
  • Acknowledge that it is the parent/guardian’s sole responsibility to provide (and keep current) all personal contact information and pertinent student information to CIS;
  • Have read, understand, and agree with the Foundational Statements on CIS website and enrollment materials; and,
  • Acknowledge and agree that CIS has the right to suspend or terminate the enrollment of the Student at any time, or to nullify this Agreement prior to the beginning of the program year at its sole discretion.  Such suspension or termination may result when (i) the parent/guardian/student/individual closely associated with the Student does not abide by the policies and rules of CIS, as determined by the Owner of CIS, (ii) the Student has unsatisfactory program performance, as determined by the Owner of CIS, (iii) the Owner of CIS determines that the continued attendance of the Student in the Program is not in the best interest of the Student or the Program; (iv) the Owner of CIS determines that the continued involvement of a parent or guardian with the Program is not in the best interest of the Student or the Program; or other reasons as determined by the sole discretion of the Owner of CIS.

Accreditation, Matriculation, and Placement Assessments.  I/We understand that:

  • Accreditation and Matriculation.  Success in this program is highly dependent upon the student’s availability for regularly scheduled class days in conjunction with their completion of the homework assignments with parental guidance.  When sufficient effort is given, students are expected to learn to read as they progress through the various stages of the program.
  • Placement Assessments.  All students will undergo an initial oral assessment in order to determine their placement in the program if a grade level completion report card, a qualitative grade completion assessment, or other evaluative information, as determined by the sole discretion of the Owner of CIS, cannot be provided or does not represent the best status of the student’s current academic performance and achievement.  The required curriculum will then be determined and tailored to meet the developmental and educational needs of each student.

Students Expectations. I/We understand that:

  • Lessons.  Students are expected to come to each class fully prepared with their books, supplies, and specified/required learning  resources (i.e., glasses, laptop computer, and noise canceling headphones if required);
  • Lesson Etiquette.  To ensure a productive and focused learning environment for each student, please arrive on time and promptly depart upon the completion of school.  With the exception of water, which is highly encouraged due to the amount of extensive speaking, in a covered container, please note that food, beverages, or chewing gum may not be consumed during lessons.

Scheduling.  I/We understand:

  • Class Schedule.  Class lessons will be provided at a scheduled time.
  • Scheduled/Unscheduled Absences.  That I/we must notify CIS of an intended absence 24 hours prior to class or an unscheduled absence as soon as possible by sending a message to CIS via WhattsApp using 703-296-1398 or calling directly to speak with the CIS staff.  Makeup for missed sessions without such notification will not be permitted.
  • Closures.  That CIS will be closed on all United States federal holidays and during the following, as specifically designated solely by Chambers International School: 2 weeks during the Summer, the week before and the week of Thanksgiving, the week before and the week of Christmas through Jan 1; the week before and the week of Resurrection Sunday.  During months with 5 weeks, only 4 lessons will be offered for the month to keep payments consistent for enrolled families, and,

Tuition Schedule and Payments.  I/We understand:

  • Enrollment, Tuition, and Fee Payments.   That the payment of all tuition is unconditional; specifically that each 30 minute session is $35 and that tuition payments are due in full before the first lesson of the month.  Payment Methods.  That payments may be made via Zelle to Claudine Cottledge as outlined on the e-invoice.

Media Release.  I/We understand and agree that unless otherwise specified below, pictures and/or media recorded class sessions of the Student may be published for CIS purposes, including but not limited to CIS Website, brochures, and press releases.  If I/we DO NOT give my (our) permission for pictures and/media recordings of the Student to be published for Chambers International School Purposes, I/we have indicated so by sending an email to CIS.

I/We have read, understand, and agree to abide by all of the terms and conditions stated herein.  I/We acknowledge receipt of the full text of (pages 1-2) of the CIS Enrollment Agreement.  I/We understand that this Agreement is not deemed accepted until countersigned by the Owner of CIS.  Further, I/We understand that signing this Enrollment Agreement signifies acceptance of terms of these policies and agreement to pay CIS for the educational services at the stated amount and according to the terms of the Enrollment Agreement.

Watch Us Read

Students enter the CIS reading and grammar program and soar to new heights!

Our students become accelerated readers.

When Pre-K students begin our program at 4 years of age, they can read a 1st grade reader in as little as 4 months or by the end of Kindergarten for students needing more time.

We meet every student where they are and teach them the required skills for reading.

Students with learning challenges are welcomed.

Students who do not speak English are welcomed.

Students who do not speak at all are welcomed.

We have over 20 years of success teaching children how to read when they start our program without any reading skills.
